What is an Electronic Gift card?

Electronic Gift card (EGC) is analogue of paper Gift cards, only in Electronic format. It is possible to pay with an EGC at shops in the same way as it is done by means of bank payment cards (Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro). To accept EGC there is no need for additional equipment – we utilize existing POS terminal network or Electronic Cash Register (ECR) already installed at payment site. EGC itself could be implemented with an individual design of shop, Shopping centre etc… Unlike Paper gift vouchers EGC can be used gradually over the life time period of card.
